Bios

Tim Foley

Tim Foley graduated with his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2003, and a year later from the Curry School of Education at U.Va. with an M.Ed in Educational Psychology. He is currently enrolled at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and has delayed his graduation until the spring semester.

Foley was also a college wrestler. He was two-time Atlantic Coast Conference champion, in 2002 at 157 pounds and 2004 at 165. In 2004 he earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, Mo.

In addition to training for wrestling season, Foley spent two summers in college interning for the former Speaker of the House, J. Dennis Hastert. After college he interned on the Mel Martinez for Senate campaign in Florida. Instead of a life in D.C. Foley chose to pursue a coaching career while also furthering his education. In 2005 Foley was named an assistant wrestling coach at Columbia University in New York City and remained on staff until July of this year.

In addition to cycling, Foley enjoys hiking and climbing and has climbed 15 of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks to include almost all of the Front Range, Capitol Peak and Crestone Needle.

He lives in New York City.

Ryan Stewart

Ryan is a graduate from the University of Virginia’s Engineering School with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

He is currently the owner of Latigidem Inc. (www.latigidem.com). Latigidem Inc. is a small business that provides web site and web applicaiton development, along with IT related services. Ryan actively volunteers in the community through coaching youth soccer and wrestling clubs. In addition he works with the non-profit Caribbean People International Collective Inc. The non-profit focuses on global volunteer activities dealing with health and HIV/AIDs awareness.

He lives in Washington D.C.
